Liverpool warm up in style for this week’s Champions League tie against Chelsea beating relegation threatened Wigan 2-0. Two well taken goals by Dirk Kuyt were enough to keep the Reds ahead of Arsenal in the premiership well on course to claim the third automatic Champions League spot. Liverpool had a good game overall against their clueless opposition; however, they wasted plenty of chances and could have scored half a dozen goals or so. All in all, it was a good game before the trip to Stanford Bridge on Wednesday!

I hope Chelsea beat Liverpool on the basis that they have more English players and Liverpool are starting to look like the new Arsenal with no homegrown players give or take the odd Gerrard or Crouch. ……. Oh yeah and also support Everton so I am kind of biased.
